Impact wisely

In honour of the Rolex Masters Paris this week, I want to highlight one of my favorite style: sporty chic. If done right, I truly believe this way of dressing is the coolest.

Low rise Adidas pants paired up with Repetto ballet flats or a tennis skirt with high raised leather boots. You can even pair Capri leggings with a blouse and make it cute. The concept of being able to dress comfortably while looking good is always exciting. It is not a coincidence that athleisure wear’s popularity has skyrocketed in the last decade.

Sports and fashion make one. We see our favorite athletes wearing certains brands and associate ourselves with it. Remember Challengers? The movie about tennis players fooling around? In it, Zendaya is wearing a plain t-shirt with ” I told ya” written on it. Basic right? Sold for 300 euros at Loewe. That Marty Supreme Jacket that everyone was raving about is basically just a bomber jacket. Where I am going with this is that influence is never unrooted. Look into what people wear during certain events and you will see it being trendy weeks later. Every single one of us is influenceable. We just need to be careful and think twice before following a tendency we see as harmless.

The point of fashion is to have fun. Dress a certain way and hate/love it. It does not matter! Just always be aware of your impact. Clothing production is the second biggest production of CO2 in the world. That old pair of short? Try an outfit with it or give it away.

Be cool. Be wise. Influence those around you, but do it ethically.

xoxo, Maude
