That you care or not, the clothes you wear say a lot about you, ranging from your values to political views. Like the saying, clothes can say a thousand words. Fashion is art, history, economy and politics all at once.
With the current state of our society, fashion is becoming more and more conservative. The “clean look” and “quiet luxury” dominate the industry. Fashion trends tend to be more serious than they used to be. Even fast fashion brands lean this way. A few years ago, colours were extremely popular. Neon pink to bright yellow, we’ve seen it all. Now, most of our wardrobes consist of monotone tints.
From Coco Chanel to Maria Grazia Chiuri, designers reflect the state of our society. They have for years and they will keep doing so.
