In the fashion industry, people can easily let their nerves get the best of them. It is a scary industry. Yet the best thing about it is that it’s scary. Uniqueness is terrifying. Now, trends are even a bigger deal because people are afraid to stand out. I get that. You don’t want to be the odd one out in a group. However, being like everyone else is not better either. Why be blend when you can be grand?
When everyone is wearing jeans and a t-shirt, it feels abnormal to try something new. In my opinion, the best dressed people are the ones who have a mind on their own. Set your own trends. Even if all of your friends are wearing the new popular sneakers, wear whatever you want. To be successful in the fashion industry is to see uniqueness as a strength. The most out-of-pocket looks during a runway are always the best. So why should we be scared to stand out?
