To enter our sublime era, it is important to feel our best. So this segment will consist of 5 beauty tips; we will feel, look and be the best version of ourselves.
1.Oil pulling
I know what you think : “What a waste of time. Another girl who takes her habits from Tik Tok!?” Well… yes and no. I know how popular that trend was on the infamous app. However, I learned about oil pulling in one of my favourite books ever: Lessons by Gisele Bündchen. This book changed my life, however let’s not dive too deep before I can’t stop ( we will talk about books in another segment 🙂 ) . This book thought me that this simple 10 minutes routine leave you fresh and clean. You want pearly whites? Forget veneers! Coconut oil is your saviour.
2. Gua Sha
This 4$ ceramic tool has been a part of my routine for years. Not only does it keep me from feeling puffy but it is a great lymphatic drainage massage ( and much MUCH cheaper). Just do it twice a day. In the morning and before going to sleep. If you do not wash your face in the morning, you can either wet it with warm water or ice it.
3. Castor Oil
This one is controversial. Some people use it everywhere and some stay away from it like it is cursed. I am in the former category. Castor oil is usually used for detoxifying your system. I put it on my stomach before sleep and wake up feeling better than ever. I sometimes use it on my face. Be careful, it is NOT for everyone. Every skin tone is different and what works for me might not for you. Be careful in the eye area. I know some say it is THE cure for long eyelashes but this is a very sensitive place.
4. Green Tea
This drink is perfect for everything. Digestion and more. I usually drink one cup in the morning and one at night. Beware it has caffeine. If for some of you coffee keeps you from sleeping, just take one in the morning. For people like me who are always freezing, this drink will warm you up just fine before the start of your day.
- Glycolic Acid
This product is a my go-to after every hair wash day. I put it on my back to prevent any pimple. You can also apply it after shaving to prevent ingrown hair. Never put on wet skin! It defeats its purpose. Wait until the area is dry and clean, puis voilà. I get the Ordinary one: cheap but efficient.
Extra tip: Tell yourself you are beautiful every time you stand in front of a mirror. Because you are. Beautiful.
